Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting this community effort to enhance the living history of Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park.  Membership is available to individuals, families, and corporations.  Membership is based on the calendar year, January to December, although new members can join at any time of the year.   
 
The information you provide for your membership is kept confidential. The
board has a policy not to sell, trade, exchange, or otherwise distribute information from its membership files.  Membership form (PDF)
 
The Friends of Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park is a 501c(3) not for profit
educational organization. Membership contributions are deductible under state and federal income tax provisions.
 
Your membership benefits include

  • volunteer opportunities, and
  • knowing you are a part of a community partnership that values the natural and cultural resources of this remarkable Park.

 

The board of directors currently has ten members, each serving a two-year
term up to a maximum of six years. The president (for a one-year term) and board members are elected at the annual membership meeting in September each year. This meeting is held on a Saturday afternoon at `Āinahou Ranch in the Park and includes reports on the Friends and Park activities, the election, tours of the grounds, and catered refreshments.
